From 1854 to 1926, The Tarrangower Times published a weekly mining column. Later, a compilation of the information contained in these columns was produced by Alliance.

The Victorian Department of Natural Resources and Environment report VIMP75, "Central Maldon goldfield, 1:5000 map area geological report" (Ebsworth, G.B. & Krokowski de Vickerod, J., 2002), contains a section describing mining history and gold production from all major and some smaller mines in the Central Maldon goldfield. According to the Abstract, the main source of information for this was the Alliance compilation derived from the Tarrangower Times reports.
